Started as a Small Eye clinic with two rooms in the remote place of Balichandrapur with effort of Sai Vision Charitable Trust in the year 2015. With increasing patients and their demand for surgery here only motivated the Trust members to convert it into a Hospital with OPD, IPD & Surgery facilities. It was started with 10 beds, single floor building with 10 staffs and 2 Doctors. Right now, the parent Hospital is a 3-storey building, around 50 staffs, 10 doctors with all sub specialties. It has around 2000 OPDs and about 500 Surgeries per month. The trust has spread it’s wing having four more branches at Pattamundai, Angul, Salipur and Padmapur treating around another 5000 patients and conducting 1000 surgeries.
The uniqueness of these institutions is providing high-end treatment to the rural people at their doorsteps emphasizing on screening for Glaucoma, Retinopathy and Childhood refractive error. All these are provided at a very low and affordable cost to the people.
